And baking in general...I would love some fresh ideas!
Mom and I are baking today (and tomorrow and maybe Friday) and we will make all the usual suspects: Homemade Fudge, Sugar Cookies, Finnish Pulla, Peanut Blossoms...but I'd love to try something new this year.
What are your favorite holiday treats? Link me up. You guys are the best!
Later.
I haven't done any holiday baking in seven years, but I did this year and the family looked through cookie books and picked out a couple of faves. My daughter picked out these and they're delicious and addicting! lol

It isn't Christmas without divinity (I use Paul Dean's mom's recipe), and we also like those little pecan pie bites, and lemon bars, and spritz, of course.

Kim, I made these: http://honeycombfood.blogspot.com/2011/12/salty-vanilla-and-cardamom-caramels.html and Chipotle Bacon Brittle: http://www.cbbqa.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=12399
Both were new this year and both were absolutely delicious! I love that they are something new and unique that others don't make. Happy baking!

I have to make treats for 9 stores that I oversee so I am always looking for something fast and easy. My daughter found something I am giving a try this year. It's the square kind of pretzel with Candy Cane Hershey Kiss on top baked for 6 mins at 170 degrees and then press a red or green M&M on top of the Kiss. Easy delicious, festive, and soooo cute!!
