You've probably noticed a lack of vacation photos from me this summer. We've been sticking around home, doing lots of crafts and having swim dates at Grandma's. It's all good. We have a big trip planned for next summer (more on that tomorrow).
As part of Pebbles "What I Did This Summer" blog week, I'm sharing a layout I created with photos from our play dough adventure. I'm so glad to have these photos already scrapped and in the album. I'm seriously behind on my scrapping, but I don't feel the need to go in any kind of chronological order (do you?). I say, "scrap what makes you happy."
Here's a little sneak peek of that layout.
In other "staycation" news, I've just started this book.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it (thanks, Lauri).
Have you read any good books this summer? Please share.
Later.
I just finished book #16 in the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. It was hilarious!
Also read several James Patterson books and a couple of 'summer reads' including:
Driftwood Cottage by Sherryl Woods,The Search by Nora Roberts and Letters of a Woman Homesteader by Elinore Pruitt Stewart.
Read on!

I just finished reading The Help a few weeks ago. I was a terrible mom for a few days (showing Cooper an endless cycle of Barney) but the book was great!

I read the help in the spring and couldn't put it down. I just kept wanting more. It kind of snuck up on me. I loved it. This week I'm going to see the movie with a few girlfriends now that we are back from vacation. It's been hard to wait. Enjoy! :)

I'm about halfway through the Help and it is so good. I am definitely neglecting my housework trying to get this book done so I can go see the movie! Haven't done much other book reading this summer!

Another comment for The Help! The best book I've read in a long time. I say read, but actually, I listened on audiobook. I was moving and it helped pass the time while packing, etc.. It was so good, I listened twice.
Hope you enjoy it!
p.s. Everyone here-we should have an online viewing party! After everyone is done, go see the movie, then we can tlak about it!! haha, maybe nerdy, but I am so excited to see it!

I read The Help last summer and loved it! This summer I read Fall of Giants by Ken Follett...it's about WWI and I learned a lot about that war. I also read Sarah's Key...another great book made into a movie. I just finished reading it and within a day I saw a commercial for the movie on TV! I went to Poland this summer (I visited family I had never met), so I'm on a WWII and Poland kick. I'm currently reading Poland by James Michener (an older book) and Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. All great books!

I loved The Help as well. I'm currently reading Cutting for Stone. Lisa, if you like WWII books you should read Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian- one of my favorite books ever.

Read Help last year and saw the movie a few weeks ago. Loved, loved both!
My favorite book of the summer is "ROOM". The story is told by a nine year old boy. I had read reviews that it was about a little boy and his mother kept captive in a ROOM !! Well, that was NOT for me, I did not want to read something so depressing. Well, let me tell you, girls. It is not depressing, it is fascinating!! I sooooo highly recommend it. You will love it, I promise!!
