Oh my - such an exciting day for me! You know I've mentioned the Ellen Hutson Online Store in the past few months: it's a wonderful shop that carries a fantastic variety of items, many of which cater to the card making crowd. And, who doesn't love to be catered to, right?
Well, I never actually mentioned that I met Ellen at CHA a few sessions back and was delighted to chat with her for a wee little bit. I was wishing that we had more time together, but the show is super busy, especially for store owners.
Well, fast forward, and I've been shopping at Ellen's site for awhile now. She contacted me last month wondering if I would be interested in sharing on her CLASSroom blog. Would I? Yes, please. The CLASSroom is so amazing because it's not just a big advertisement, you know what I mean? She has awesome tutorials, step by step instructions, tons of advice --all for free! Love it.
So, today's the day! You need to head over there and check out my Guest blog post! Here's a little sneak.
(Okay, maybe a big sneak). BUT, here's something even more exciting: I used some SUPER products on my paper crafts for the blog post ---and Ellen is letting me give them away!
ALL of this! Seriously - the Hero Arts stamps, the paper pad, the chipboard, the Craft-a-Board and the 7 Gypsies Paper Tape! Squeal!! (I'm the luckiest girl around).
Leave me a message about how sweet Ellen is (she will die when she reads this) and I'll enter you to win this prize package! Contest is open until midnight PDT April 17th. Maybe you'll be the second luckiest person around.
Later.
Ellen is sweet, for a couple of reasons. One, for letting you giveaway such an awesome prize package, and 2nd (most importantly), linking me to your site. I now have it book marked!!! Thanks,
Cindy

I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about Ellen or her store because there is no reason to say anything bad. I love exploring the store and seeing all the things that I have never seen before. She is so wonderful to provide a quick description on so many of the products. It makes it easy to determine if it would be a product I might like.
Congrats on the CLASSROOM. I have not tried any before but maybe this a good time to start!

Hi Kim! I loved your tutorial. . .it made me want to blow the dust off my Bind It All and get creative! AND I adore Ellen. I'm fortunate enough to live close enough to be able to go to her studio to pick up my orders. The best part of that is getting to chat with Ellen and her staff after receiving a warm welcome from her darling little dog. The thing I love most about Ellen is her genuine warmth and her delight in sharing new ideas/techniques. She's never too busy to spend a little time getting me excited about the endless possibilities of this wonderful craft.

You're too sweet, Kim! I'm glad you've had an opportunity to share on Ellen's CLASSroom, because it's one of the best places to learn new stamping techniques on the Web. Ellen has always been generous with her tutorials, and we're all better stampers for it.

I love Ellen's website--it is so pretty and easy to read and her store is great. I frequently find things "I can't live without" so I have to careful to control myself when shopping at EllenHutson.com or I'd buy the store out. Then my husband would give me "the look"-- :<( That's him frowning, I'm smiling.

I've been on Ellen's blog for quite a while, but never ordered anything. Well, last month I made an order and was amazed that she sent a hand-colored thank you note with some ribbon! How sweet is that? It's not surprising to me that she is also so generous.
Posted by: Terre Munk | April 15, 2011 at 10:17 AM
Hi Kim -
That was a great tutorial and I love those cards and the notebook! I think Ellen is a remarkable woman. She really cares about her customers. She and her team work hard to ensure that they are happy. She is very generous with the things she's learned (I mean look at the tutorials on her blogs). She just doesn't sell things in her store, she shows us all the different uses we can get out of those products. And you know if its in Ellen's store, then its a great product!
