Well, it didn't go tooooo badly around here. Read about Ello's little adventure HERE. And tell me, what's a Mom to do? Laugh? Cry? I did both. Next question, now what?
Let's pretend that didn't happen and have some fun instead, okay?
I propose a challenge. How about a card lift/scrap lift challenge? I like it. Take a peek at this card:
I used some fancy wood paper from Creative Imaginations and the ever lovely stickers (new) from SRM stickers. Other than that, cardstock and a touch of ribbon at the bottom. So, here's the challenge. Create your own card (or layout) inspired my mine; it can be the colors, the sketch, the scallops, the woodgrain...what-evah! Have fun. Post it, link it, let me know and I'll enter you to win a BIG fat prize box. Yep, I have one ready to go. It's filled with card kits, ribbon, paper, lots of goodies.

Oh Kim, I love that card. So graphic and pretty.
All of my kids took at whack at their hair or the hair of a sibling. sigh

I bawled uncontrollably when my daughter cut her own bangs earlier this year. Now, seven months later, we've cut all her hair to try and hide it (because it still wasn't growing in right) and we get RAVE reviews of how cute it is. The moral? Time heals bad hair cuts too. ;) She still looks totally adorable... card too! :)

Did you hear someone slurping in the background? Yeah... that would be me.
Nice stuff, Kim!

I played along on my blog and created a card using your card as inspiration. Sorry about the "haircut". I never went through that with my daughter, thank goodness!

Nice card Kim. I have some woodgrain paper I have been holding onto for a one year anniversary, but didn't know what I was going to do with it. Thanks for the inspiration.

the good news? everybody's got a hair-cut story. the bad news? everybody's got a hair-cut story! my then-5yo cut a wide slice from her bangs... one week before church directory pics were to be taken--a permanent reminder! more good news? it's just hair... it'll grow back! [btw, cute card! love the wood grain with the dark blue... pretty!] ~k

O.M.G.
Wow.
That picture is a little heart wrenching! I'd say we've been there but I'm not sure Eli's bang trim can compare. What's the verdict on what to do?

Thanks for the challenge! I sat on this for a few days, and then of course I had to rush to finish it. But it definitely reminds me of our enjoyable summer. (And short haircuts are good during the summer, right? ;)
