It seems like we BOTH might be lucky today! Remember that 25th Anniversary party Keith and I were lucky enough to have last month? We received tons of thoughtful gifts; the "big" one was from my parents and our kids. Check it.
Um yeah. That's a whole lotta new Fiestaware dishes. Lucky, lucky us. They make dinnertime so much fun!
To top it off, the really great folks over at CSN stores - specifically Cookware.com are letting me review another product for them. This time it's my very first Le Creuset in the house.
Awww -look how cute they are! We desperately needed a new salt and pepper set, so this was perfect timing. I just love them. And the service and shipping from Cookware was awesome. Two thumbs up. (BTW, they have a ton of great Le Creuset on special for 40% off - great prices).
So, here's the "lucky you" part. Since I'm a pretty good sweet talker, I snagged a nice little Le Creuset set to give away! How about this:
Ouch. This is a tough one not to keep for myself. But, I wouldn't be doing this whole blogging thing if is wasn't for my loyal readers, right? Props to you.
Just leave me a comment about your latest cooking adventure. I'm also curious to know if you already own some Le Creuset, if you like it, what you own, what you use. I have a feeling a few more pieces need to make their way into my kitchen. Hee, hee.
The contest will be open through Friday night (midnight PST). I have to limit this one to my U.S. readers since Cookware is shipping this directly to you. THANKS!
Good luck!
Later.
Yeehaaw!! You got all those?? Awesome colors! :D Looks so cool together :)
I've been collecting Teema (by Iittala) dishes in teal, white, red, and green - got enough for the daily use but always in need for more as kids grow etc :)
Here they are if you want to see, scroll down for colors: http://www.iittalahomeshopping.com/epages/iittala.sf/fi_FI/?ObjectPath=/Shops/iittala/Categories/astiasarjat/teema
I'd never heard of Le Creuset and I don't think I want to win so you don't have to ship dishes overseas ;) Look nice tho!! What are they made of, plastic or ceramics?

Wait - great paper crafts and cookware, too? How fun are you?! I have NO Le Creuset, but I've ogled their dutch ovens for years...
Those bowls are gorgeous.
And, as a side note, my aunt and uncle have used Fiestaware for ages, and it IS really fun! Good for you and your great family!
Posted by: Angela H. | May 12, 2010 at 04:36 AM
Ooooh... i love your dishes, great colors. Might I want to cook more if I had fun colored dishes... ya think? ;) Don't own any Le Creuset but sure would love to...

I adore the look of Fiesta Ware. My Grandma has tons of original pieces but years ago sold some off because she didn't think anyone in the family would be interested in having it. I just about flipped!!!!!

I have a Big Ol' Le Creuset dutch oven... I LOVE it! It is perfect to go from cooktop to oven... yummy soups, stews, roasts...
Posted by: Liisa | May 12, 2010 at 05:41 AM
Oooh!!! Good stuff! My latest cooking try was awesome! I made a cappellini pomodoro ala barefoot contessa and it was sooo good. I've also been making my own salad dressing lately which is bomb!
Excited about this giveaway miss Kim! Thanks!

Oooh man, I neeeeed those! LOL 1. I have never even heard of Le Creuset. So, no, I don't own any.
2. ugh, my latest adventure was a gooey pizza I made on Monday. I rolled the dough out on the counter but then couldn't manage to slide the pizza onto the stone, which I had preheated. In the end I pushed it and it was a big ol ball of dough, sauce and cheese. I cooked it anyway, and although it wasn't pretty, it sure was tasty!

I don't own any but I've tried to win some a bunch of times on the Pioneer Woman's website. Love it! Thanks for the chance to win.
Posted by: Jennifer C | May 12, 2010 at 05:52 AM
I've never had Le Creuset personally, but I have fond memories of My Grandmama's dutch oven from that company as a child.
Of course, in my imaginary wedding registry, Le Creuset is very noticeable.
I just got done baking 4 dozen cookies for a few pals at work and some at home. I love being in the kitchen!
Thanks for the chance to win.

Wow - your dishes are beautiful! I'm newly engaged - and thinking maybe Fiestaware is the way to go for our registry! I love the colors. I don't own any Le Creuset ... yet. ;)

OMG! I love those bowls. I have two tiny baking LeCreuset and I love them. I use them for dips so I can set them around instead of just having the dip in one bowl. The latest adventure I had was when I asked my 16 year old son to help make meatloaf. He added a twist--some hasbrown potatoes under the loaf and added spices and sauces that I wouldn't have thought to add. It was hard to let him just do it as he has a messy way of cooking, but it was great in the end! Thanks so much for a chance to win! It's my birthday May 19 so this would be just perfect!

I'm so jealous of your Fiestaware. Lucky you for sure!
I haven't really done anything lately on my own. I did attend a Pampered Chef party a week ago and we made some really awesome dishes. Black Forest Trifle was one of them, can you say easy and yum!
I don't have any Le Creuset, but I sure could use a set of bowls (wink, wink)...heh. Such a sweetie to give it away, it would be hard for me too.
Posted by: Jenn | May 12, 2010 at 07:00 AM
That's some beautiful stuff you got there. Hope that you get to share with me :-)
I made a pear/walnut salad for mother's day. It turned out OK, but the cheese was not the greatest. Gorgonzola was too slimy.
Hope I win!

Ok confession time.. cause hmm well if I tell you,you prob. wouldn't believe me but its really true....So for the past 2 weeks I've started into a Healthy life style and have started to eat things I said I didn't like (ok never really ate it lol) Like Spinach YES I never wanted to eat it and Asparagus(which I never had before) and one that I REALLY didn't like but hmm how come all of a sudden I am kind of liking (did I just write that) Tomatoes! So I am having fun w/new recipes and trying to figure out yummy ways to eat it and then the super bonus plus is that my whole family is getting healthier right along w/me!

Food? I really prefer the baking end of things, so nothing exciting and new in the meal department over here. I did manage to bake 17 dozen mini flat breads yesterday that are just scrumptious!
My dishes are white. Pure, hospital, utilitarian white. I've splashed color on walls, but my dishes remain white. Sounds like I need a little picker upper in the dish department. The Le Creuset look like fun!!
Posted by: Anita | May 12, 2010 at 07:50 AM
I was given a Le Creuset dutch oven as a wedding gift almost 27 years ago now. I love it; it still looks wonderful too. I use it I didn't know they made bowls; they are too cute!
I'm making Mediterranean Chicken Chili for dinner tonight; it's always a crowd pleaser.
What an awesome giveaway--thank you!
Posted by: Robin W | May 12, 2010 at 07:52 AM
My best friend's parents used these dishes every night! Takes me back a long time!! Our latest adventure has been making crepes every Sunday, I think it should be tradition! Thanks for the chance.
Posted by: Andrea | May 12, 2010 at 08:16 AM
Darling!!! I have a serious love affair with dishes and plates. My poor husband can't keep up with all my different sets, but a few more can't hurt... Can they?
Monday night my three year old and I made light chicken Caesar salad. Together we made croutons, buttermilk chicken, dressing, and we cut the lettuce. She has been telling everyone that she made salad with Mommy. While it is extra work, I am going to refocus my cooking to include her daily :)
Thanks for the chance to win-- I don't have any Le Creuset-- yet :)

My cooking revolves around my kids, so we are mostly a spaghetti (with ground turkey), chicken, meatloaf kind of family. I don't collect dishes, I still use the used I received from my mom 13 years ago when I moved out! Those are lovely colorful dishes your parents and kids gave you! Reminds me of scrapbooking... but then what doesn't!
Posted by: Denise Coulter | May 12, 2010 at 08:36 AM
WOW! That's a lot of awesome dish-ware, congrats! hehe
I don't own any Le Creuset. It is so fun and colorful though, I'm sure it looks amazing in any kitchen. My newest cooking adventure includes our new Saladmaster pots and pans. It is taking me some getting used to but I'm liking it.
Posted by: Jenn C. | May 12, 2010 at 08:37 AM
Made mushroom enchiladas last night and they came out GOOD!
Posted by: Keshet | May 12, 2010 at 08:45 AM
I don't own any LeCruset, but I want to! My latest cooking adventure was making chicken satay lettuce wraps last night. Good, but very messy to eat!
Posted by: Meghann | May 12, 2010 at 08:49 AM
Well after hearing about your ladies weekend at the cabin i was inspired....so my latest cooking adventure was on Friday night...I made homemade basil pasta with shrimp and a pesto sauce (i even made the pesto sauce...instead of buying it in a jar!) and tortelini in a tomato cream sauce for my mother inlaws 70th birthday!! I do not have any Le Creuset but it is very fun! I have fiesta which we got as a wedding present and I love having such colorful dishes!!
Posted by: Ashley Pirness | May 12, 2010 at 08:49 AM
oh how I love those bowls. My kitchen is in primary colors and these would match fantastically. Now if I could just get my family to buy me the Fiestaware(I've been asking for a couple of years) I would be in colorful heaven.
Posted by: Carrie R | May 12, 2010 at 08:52 AM
I haven't used Le Creuset, but I believe my mom has one of their dutch ovens and loves it! I have a bunch of fiestaware too (in my hope chest for when I get married); aren't the colors so fun?
I don't remember my most recent cooking adventure, but I did make homemade pretzels a week ago or so... so delicious!
Posted by: Becky K. | May 12, 2010 at 09:11 AM
Ooooh...those bowls are awesome. It motivated me to actually enter your contest! I love Fiestaware as well but it doesn't go in my kitchen. I'd have to say my latest recipe success was the salad and chicken skewers we made at Jeanette's cabin. Everyone really liked it! Have a great day !
Posted by: Becca | May 12, 2010 at 09:19 AM
Love those fun bright colors! My cooking experience was yesterday and I made rice, hamburger + veggies. It was good until the cleaning part stated. My husband cleaned for half an hour and told me he wouldn't mind if I didn't make that meal anymore :(
Posted by: Tiina | May 12, 2010 at 09:33 AM
covet, covet, covet!!!! Love your dishes & those le crueset would be AWESOME to win!!! I don't have any- but those bowl would fit in happily in my kitchen! I've been loving Rachel Ray's 365:no repeats for quite awhile- 30 minute meals that are super tasty- and yes, I've totally repeated!!! :)
Thanks so much for the chance!

I have this one tiny, TINY Le Crueset baker that isn't really good for anything-- I think it's only about 4x6, but I love it so much!
Posted by: Maeghan M. | May 12, 2010 at 09:49 AM
I LOVE Le Creuset! I've got a couple of serving dishes and a baking dish in 'Cherry'. I've been eyeing their Dutch Ovens. ;)
Posted by: Susan C. | May 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM
No Le Creuset here but I would love to own a dutch oven some day.
Posted by: Felicia | May 12, 2010 at 10:13 AM
I have never used any Le Creuset cookware, but I DO have a set of Fiestaware like yours--all the bold, bright colors. I love them! They wouldn't be near as much fun if they were ALL the same color, now would they?
Posted by: Amy L. Weber | May 12, 2010 at 10:22 AM
Oh this set caught my eye as I too have a rainbow set of Fiestaware and I LOVE LOVE it! Makes me happy to open the cabinet and see all those colors. Hmm...cooking...how about I don't cook...I'm the dessert maker. My incredible hubby I'd call a chef of the highest level and he makes us the most amazing meals. And I know he would love to use these! Thanks for the chance. ;-)
Posted by: Julia S | May 12, 2010 at 10:23 AM
I don't own any LeCreuset. Colorful!! And my lastest cooking adventure...a zucchini chicken casserole for dinner company. It was delish!
Posted by: Keilah | May 12, 2010 at 10:33 AM
I love Fiestaware...bring me back to memories of G-mas house. Now, I'm thinking that's my next dish set..all diff colors ...yummy! I love those Le Creuset bowls! I don't have any of that brand but after reading all the comments, sounds like I need to find myself one of their dutch ovens!!! I cook a lot, so not really too much adventure....last night was baseball so quick dinner, but Monday I made Sauteed Shrimp & Scallops, Baked Red Potatoes and Corn on the Cob. (nothing too fancy, but I can get my 6 yr old to eat all that!)
Posted by: joparker | May 12, 2010 at 10:39 AM
I don't have any le creuset but would love some! Cooking adventure was my 17 year old son fixing dinner for me the day after Mother's Day - carrot soup, grilled lime chicken and punch! Love him.
Posted by: Marty | May 12, 2010 at 10:42 AM
My latest cooking adventure was For Mother's Day. I made my mom stuffed cabbage rolls and hummus. I love this brand. I realy need new mixing bowls.
Posted by: Cards4ever | May 12, 2010 at 10:52 AM
Love your dishes! I don't own any Le Creuset but would love some. I don't really have any cooking adventures.
Posted by: conniemelancon | May 12, 2010 at 10:57 AM
my latest craze is making bread w/more dark flours than white! and the kids love it plus, it fills them up much faster. Don't own any of this stuff but it sure looks colorful and fun!
Posted by: Briita M | May 12, 2010 at 11:01 AM
I so need to learn more about that Fiestaware! Wow!
I haven't been cooking much these days since I am without a kitchen now for a month (reno). I do own 3 LC cast iron pots and they are the cats meow let me tell ya. I know they are an investment but they will last a lifetime ....in fact they will last your kids lifetime too since these are something you will no doubt pass down. I love LC so much that in fact I am builing shelves into my kitchen island to showcase/store them. Besides my Wustoff knives the LC's are my best purchase yet!
Posted by: Charlene Austin | May 12, 2010 at 11:14 AM
Oh my, those bowls are so cute! I have a thing for bowls!! I only own one piece of Le Creuset - it's a tiny yellow oval roaster with lid (about 6 inches across). It was a gift from my friend, and I just love how it looks on my kitchen window ledge. I haven't baked in it yet. I haven't cooked anything real special lately, but the cool weather we've been having has had me baking molasses cookies and 7 layer bars. Yum!
Posted by: Rachel Schumacher | May 12, 2010 at 11:35 AM
Congrats on the 2-5 and all of that fab
Fiestaware!! I don't own a single piece of Le Creuset, but would love too!
Any my latest cooking adventure, other than the baked potato flambé? (FYI, baked potatoes WILL erupt into flames in the microwave if you unknowingly push the 'frozen entree' button in lieu of the 'baked potato' button) would be the crab pasta salad that I made for lunch today, no recipe, just sorta winged it ;)
Posted by: rae barthel | May 12, 2010 at 11:36 AM
Yum, love all that Fiestaware! I'd like some new colors myself. We've had yellow, blue and white since our wedding. I don't believe I have any Le Creuset, but I love the beautiful bowls! I am a sucker for multi-color sets. Thanks for a chance to win. My latest baking was a boxed cake mix. My daughter really wanted strawberry so we got it and made it. I won't eat it, though! :)
Posted by: Kristin O | May 12, 2010 at 12:02 PM
Personally I think you deserve everything that comes your way. We use some dented metal bowls whose covers don't fit...I think my dad gave them to us a very long time ago. I guess that shows you were my priorities are. Ha!
Posted by: Scrapycandy | May 12, 2010 at 12:04 PM
My latest cooking "adventure" is that I need to teach my college aged son to cook this summer so he can get through a year of school without the meal plan. Therefore, a) trying to figure out what to teach him to cook (complicated by the fact that he's a vegetarian and I'm not); b) trying to teach him some basic nutrition guidelines; c) trying to teach him how to shop wisely; d) trying to come up with recipes that take little time and only basic tools; e) trying to keep it fun with a minimum of lip biting/eye rolling. And, alas, I'm not lucky enough to own Le Creuset, but your dish set sure is beautiful. Congrats!
Posted by: Cath | May 12, 2010 at 12:20 PM
I own one tiny little le creuset baking dish that i love, and have been wanting a dutch oven for so long, but they are so expensive! I do love all their colors and styles though, and have drooled over all the products at Sur La Table.
Posted by: Anita K | May 12, 2010 at 12:22 PM
just pulling granola out of the oven.
I don't own any Le Creuset yet, but I love those colors! Yum!
Posted by: able mabel | May 12, 2010 at 12:24 PM
I don't cook. Ever. So I can only relate a very old cooking adventure (and one of the many reasons I don't cook).
Many years ago, I made a stir fry. It turned robin's egg blue. Yes. Really.
Thankfully, my husband likes to cook. He does all the cooking. I help with the eating.
We do own some lovely Le Creuset. We have two of the big um...dutch oven things? And three saucepans. My mum had Le Creuset when I was growing up. It is very good quality and lasts a really long time. I inherited one of my mum's original saucepans and only recently got rid of it. It was an antique!
I love all the new colours they've added since the olden days when I think all they had was orange.

Cute bowl set! Love to win. switch out for new pretty set. But I made Cajun chicken recipe last week. MMM
Posted by: Brianna B | May 12, 2010 at 01:39 PM
Look at that fun Fiestaware! :-)
I have a crock of Le Creuset spatulas and they are just amazing!
A recent cooking adventure would be learning to make a butterscotch pecan pie for my husband just the way his aunt makes them (since she is famous for them)!
