Have I made you wait long enough? AN-TI-CI-PAYAAA-TION. Okay, just kidding. But, I'm excited to share the product I chose to review from All Modern. The site is really cool, especially if you are a fan of the modern/scandinavian touch. All Modern is kind of a collection of different sites all under one roof. Sort of like an all modern mall. Cool.
So, after browsing through all the Toys I chose the fantastic Bilibo Play Shell. I got an orange one and a green one. Happy Days. Okay, you can probably already tell how I feel about this toy by the giveaway "fantastic" adjective in that last sentence, right? Right.
This toy was designed in Switzerland and has that look of a classic. It's rated for ages 2-7 and that's exactly accurate. Eloise (20 months) will enjoy it even more in another six months or so, and Harrison (age 8) is slightly too tall and heavy (although he successfully spins around in this thing like nobody's business). I think a few photos will tell the true story.
On a smooth surface (inside or out) Eloise rocks and spins easily.
On grass this guy serves as a nice seat for herself and her animal friends.
Flipped over Bilibo becomes a chair at the perfect height for reading.
Or a platform to practice balancing.
It's easy to carry around, stack and offers tons of creative play possibilities. This toy has become an integral part of the arsenal around our house and we've only had in a week.
Overall, I'd give this toy a A+. I really feel that good about it.
Boy, I think I could do this more often - hee, hee.
Let's hear your opinion about my review. What's on you hot list for Christmas this year? I'm especially interested in hearing about unique and fun things for boys, age 8. And, no Legos, please.
Later.
ETA**Foxed those wonky photos - what was that all about?

makes me wish I was 20 months old.. it looks like a ton of fun! Boys at 8 do they play with anything other than sports stuff and legos? ummm I think maybe.. uhhh nope.. that is legos.. I don't know... I do remember Brad had one of those marble tubes and tunnels things that you build like towers and stuff and then send a marble through it and HE played with that for hours and hours and hours .. he loved it. Games were always big in our house and nerf... (btw I actually got one of my quilts up on my blog.. it is one for my dog, but it is up.. I need to quilt it, but it is the top and it is pinned... )

oooh! I think I just might have to get this for Carly, Ryan, Sarah... I bet these would go great on my floors! As for 8yr old boys, let me know what you find out. There is a really cool magnetix display at Sam's Club. It's a roller coaster thing. Anywho, as for my wishlist, umm...a new lens. 85mm.

COOL toy! i'm looking into it for the church nursery--thanks for the heads-up!
sorry, we are apparently a legos family... started out with the larger duplos at age 1, soon moved up to the 'real' thing. son and nephew, at ages 14 and 13, are STILL asking for sets! ~k

How fun! Wish my kiddos were younger so I'd have an excuse to get one of these! LOL
Ok, so after watching "Up" last night, I will be making my boys each an Adventure Book, nothing fancy, just something they can put important things in, write in, etc. Oh, and skateboards. Gonna get skateboards too.
