Okay, just a tip here: when you are "borrowing" some neighbor's unsecured wireless internet you aren't allowed to complain when that service is down. Heh.
But now, for some reason, we're back online, so I'll quickly post some photos for you. We've been 100% enjoying the cool breezes and pine trees. We have the sewing machine parked right next to the door to catch the breeze. Lovely.
Here's the latest progress.
This quilt top is from the fabric I showed yesterday - now it has muslin sashing and will eventually have a patterned binding and stipple quilting. I will definitely share when it's done.
Can you tell this one is made up of ALL scraps? I just love how it turned out. It's a little crazy, but super happy. This will get a tiny polka dot binding and quilting along each block.
This last one (for now) is made from a charm pack. It's called a stacked coin quilt since the charm squares (originally 5" squares) are cut in half to create a "coin" (that is 2.5 X 5"). Then, we stacked them into strips and added white sashing. Soooo cute. This quilt will have additional sashing around the border, a binding and a cute backing.
Aww - look at cutie-pie there. Poor baby was running a fever today, wouldn't you know. It never fails that at least one kid comes up ill while on vacation, right? Sigh.
But, overall, very fun and relaxing. In case I don't get connected tomorrow, have a great holiday weekend. We'll be grilling, enjoying a little parade in downtown Flagstaff and celebrating my Mom's birthday (she was born on the 4th of July!). We may even check out the "faux fireworks" in Flag Saturday night. Anyone have any idea what that's all about? Weird.
Okay, better run.
