Thought I would share a little Spring Break wrap up along with my Foodie Monday post. Break was busy and fun and hectic and relaxing all at the same time. The week started off a little slow, but by Wednesday we were trading Flagstaff cousins, attending playdates and airshows, painting, planting and stitching. Oh yeah, and eating, too.
Here's a sneak of Wednesday's sewing project (stay tuned):
Here's a sneak of Thursday's challenge:
Here's a good shot of what we did several times this past week:
And Eloise did lots of this:
She thinks 16 year old big brothers are the bomb.
But, I digress.
We discovered another great new restaurant through Meghan's handy little Phoenix Guide. This is the book that pointed us to Lux Coffee Bar. Not to be confused with Delux on 32nd St. and Camelback. This is a chef run local haunt that serves the BEST burgers, fries and salads. It was a glorious 72 degrees, so we waited for a table on their patio. First we ate this:
The mozzarella was so tender and yummy. And Keith couldn't get enough of the vine ripened tomatoes. It was delish.
Then we ate these:
Okay, is that not the cutest thing you ever saw? All their fries were served in these little grocery carts. This is two servings worth. We also tried the regular fries, but these sweet potato goodies were my favorite. They came with a dipping sauce that our waiter was proud to inform us was made with 25 different ingredients. Hmmm...he rattled off mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, cayenne pepper and garlic. I wonder what else was in there? It was sooooo good.
Then, of course we ate burgers, and a chicken panini and an ahi fish sandwich, but I didn't get photos of those because, we, um, ate them too fast. Sorry. Not really.
So, next time you are cruising around Phoenix and need a good spot for lunch or dinner - check out Delux Burger.
Will catch you up with the rest of the happenings all this week.
